Check
out these WONDERFUL web pages that our ESOL 1, 2 and 3 students created
themselves!
First,
we studied and practiced language techniques used in poetry such as
alliterations, onomotopoeias, rhymes, and similes.
Second, we read and composed different types of poems: haikus, tankas,
shape poems and more.
Thirdly,
we practiced and improved our computer skills.
Next,
we learned how to use the program Dreamweaver to develop web pages.
Then,
we worked with groups to read and learn about famous American poets.
We presented this information to the class and took notes during the
presentations.
Finally,
we listened to Media Specialist Assistants Ms. Meade and Ms. Levin read
American poetry, and then we analyzed the poems.
